Bit Jumpy i have to edit this to make it easy to read.. If i increase the squelch on VFO A to stop it, i dont hear weak stations that I would if i didnt have to do this. this is my 2nd defective Rig the first had the exact same problem but on VFO B. and was considered Defective by Texas Towers and replaced with this one. i have seen other Vx8-DR and have found this is infact a Bad Batch of Compenents out of 6 other radios 1 of them did this when testing and it was on VFO B vfo b last time was defective and now on Vfo a thus the part is used in both VFO sides . and the part is out of tolerance Spec.) The problem with this is i either have to have squelch up and loose distant and even some non distant stations or Deal with the Unsqelched Static (at volume 30) I like to have my rig stationary (when im using it) also sometimes the to stop it the squelch needs to go all the way up.. (i dont know if the out of tolerance component that is causing this is allowing interference to affect its operation from being out of spec) Comment posted in another video of mine. to help explain the problem. His point is that the sensitivity it not the same on both receivers which is a problem. 3 DB can be the difference between understanding someone or not in a weak signal situation... If the answer is, just use the other VFO, then why even have a dual VFO radio? tfreakvids This is the 2nd defective unit i received. I specifically asked Texas Towers to Test the unit coming out to me but they ...

15. Suspension Bridges - The Battle of the Cable Tube. Duration : 32.73 Mins.
As we study the early years of suspension bridge development, we'll see at least as many failures as successes. At some point, you may start to wonder why engineers even persisted with suspension bridges at all. After so many failures, it would have been entirely reasonable to just give up and try something else. The answer, I think, is that suspension bridges represent extraordinary potential for greatness. In theory, cables are superior to eyebar chains. In practice, the effectiveness of a wire cable depends on all the wires carrying approximately equal tension. Important Terms: anchorage: A structure that connects the main cables of a suspension bridge to the earth. eyebar chain: A chain composed of iron or steel bars linked together with pins. saddle: An iron or steel element that guides the main cables of a suspension bridge across the tops of the towers. stiffening girder: A beam that directly supports the deck of a suspension bridge while resisting wind-induced vibration and distortion of the cable due to concentrated loads. stiffening truss: A truss that directly supports the deck of a suspension bridge while resisting wind-induced vibration and distortion of the cable due to concentrated loads. strand: A bundle of parallel wires constituting a component of the main cable of a suspension bridge. Each cable is composed of multiple strands, and each strand is composed of multiple wires. strand shoe: A horseshoe-shaped fi tting that connects one strand of a ...

Winona LaDuke - Building a Green Economy Tube. Duration : 77.53 Mins.
Rural communities have often been affected adversely in historic economic systems based on centralized power and food production. The loss of environmental and human wealth has been costly, particularly in Native American communities, but other rural communities are similarly affected. This historic pattern has buttressed an unsustainable way of life. The future must be sustainable in terms of environment, economics and social relations. Relocalizing food and energy systems as core elements of a rural economy indeed national and international economies has the potential to transform world social, economic and political relations. Our work at a local, national and international level describes how communities make change and the implications for larger society.

Russel E. Rhodes: Shuttle Launch Development and Operations Tube. Duration : 32.43 Mins.
As NASA approaches the final flight of the Space Shuttle, it is timely to reflect upon the many important lessons learned from the formulation, development, and operation of the Space Shuttle program. The Space Shuttle represented a dramatic departure from the launch and space vehicles of the preceding Apollo era, with a new focus on routine access to low-Earth orbit, utilizing a high degree of reusability—and higher flight rates—to attempt to meet its many challenging goals. There is much to be learned from this pioneering effort and, fortunately, many of the master program/project manager practitioners who were involved in the shuttle program are still available to share these stories and lessons learned with current and future practitioners within NASA. This panel will examine the transition from the Apollo era to the shuttle program, the early conceptualization and definition of the shuttle, the development of its many challenging new systems and subsystems, the changing political environment, and its flight and mission operations over the past thirty years since its first flight: STS-1, on April 12, 1981. The panelists have experience in each of these phases of the program, including extensive involvement in Apollo through the development of the Space Shuttle itself, and its subsequent launch, flight, and mission operations, which they will share from their unique perspectives. Russel E. Rhodes is a native of the state of Indiana, where he earned a BS in aeronautical ...

South Tower Smoking Guns Tube. Duration : 1.85 Mins.
This video narrates a collection of diverse phenomena in the debris cloud of the South Tower that point to explosive demolition. Particularly notable is one projectile (which I have not seen discussed previously) that is shooting to the east, then stops, midair, then turns a sharp corner and shoots straight down trailing white smoke. White smoke is characteristic of aluminum oxide which is a byproduct of the thermite reaction. ------------------ My new DVD: "9/11 Analysis" is now out. Go to www.911speakout.org .
